A common concern

My old crowns look dark at the gum line

A dark line at the gum usually means a metal-based crown whose edge has become visible as the gum settled. Replacing it with an all-ceramic crown removes the line and lets light through the way a natural tooth does.

If several crowns are failing together, it is often better to plan them as a group so the shade and bite match. We assess each tooth underneath before promising anything.

The treatment that usually solves it

Full mouth restoration

Worn teeth and old crowns rebuilt in stages, keeping what can be kept.
